Steven Martel

Steven Martel has a strong background in software engineering. Their most recent role was as a Senior Software Engineer at PlayBrain, where they worked from November 2017 to the present. Prior to that, they worked at SoftGear Co., Ltd. as a Software Engineer from September 2016 to November 2017, where they were responsible for designing and developing an API server for a mobile game and working on log aggregating infrastructure.

Before SoftGear, Steven worked at Flixster as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2011 to August 2016. In this role, they worked on migrating a monolithic code stack to a micro-services architecture, designed and implemented project plans to migrate application features to Amazon AWS, and worked with Java on various frameworks. Steven also maintained Unix and Python scripts and wrote Jenkins build plans for Continuous Integration.

Prior to Flixster, Steven worked at Cisco Systems as a Software Engineer from September 2009 to August 2011. In this role, they worked on back-end web services development using the Spring framework and Hibernate for data management. Steven also implemented a billing web services layer that communicated with a third-party billing system.

Steven Martel attended Florida International University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
