Kate McKinnon is the current Head of HR at Playfly Sports. Kate has also served as the Chief People Officer at Fourlane from June 2021 to September 2021, and as the Vice President of Human Resources at Elite Medical Staffing from November 2018 to May 2021.

At Playfly Sports, Kate McKinnon is responsible for leading the human resource function for the company. This includes overseeing organizational restructuring and performance, training development and delivery, internal recruiting, employee relations, legal matters, and compliance. Under their leadership, the company has connected its decentralized offices by implementing cross-functional communication, company-wide training calls, and monthly leadership development coaching. Additionally, Kate McKinnon has developed a standardized internal recruiting process and onboarding program.

At Fourlane, Kate McKinnon was responsible for re-engaging, assessing, and setting new expectations for vendor relationships, leading to the implementation of a new benefits broker and addition of new SEO tools. Kate also evaluated and audited the HR function to establish best practices in the areas of employee relations, benefit administration, workers compensation, policy and procedure revision and communication, progressive discipline, and payroll. Additionally, they implemented carrier connections between operational systems to create efficiencies across departments.

At Elite Medical Staffing, Kate McKinnon was responsible for managing and maintaining organizational communication during COVID-19 crisis to include the temporary transition of the workforce to remote model, monitoring morale, responding to client and clinical concerns, talent acquisition, adjustment of company business structure, and remaining abreast of new compliance issues.
