Janet Gates

Janet Gates has extensive experience in the education sector, currently serving as the principal of Donlon Elementary within the Pleasanton Unified School District since January 2002. Prior roles include vice principal at multiple K-5 schools, where responsibilities included managing 504 plans and collaborating with the English Learner Advisory Council. Janet also has teaching experience in various science disciplines and served as the science department chair at Harvest Park. Additionally, Janet runs an independent business with Mary Kay Cosmetics and actively volunteers with the Catholic Community of Pleasanton in various capacities. Janet holds a Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership from Saint Mary's College of California and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Davis.
