Fili Emerson Chua

Fili Emerson Chua has been working in the data science field since 2014. Fili Emerson began their career as a Forensic Data Analyst at EY in 2014, followed by a role as a Sr. Data Analyst at Unilever from 2016-2019. From 2019-2021, Chua worked as a Sr. Business Analyst, Planning and Strategy at Lazada Group. In 2021, they joined Plentina as a Data Scientist, Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Business Analyst, Business Development, and Omdena as a Machine Learning Engineer. Additionally, Chua worked as a Data Science Mentor and Fellow at Eskwelabs in 2020, where they mentored groups of students through sprints and developed a content-based e-commerce recommender system for their capstone project.

Fili Emerson Chua has a Master of Science (M.S.) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from De La Salle University, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science with Specialization in Network Engineering from De La Salle University, and has attended a Summer Program at Xiamen University. Additionally, Chua has obtained a number of certifications, including Data Engineering, Big Data, and Machine Learning on GCP Specialization from Google in July 2022, dbt Fundamentals from dbt Labs in January 2022, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Course from Udemy in April 2021, Brand Identity and Strategy from IE Business School in May 2020, and Data Science Methodology from IBM in April 2019.
