Phyo Wai Aung

Phyo Wai Aung is a Principal Equipment Engineer at Plessey Semiconductors Ltd since March 2023, with extensive experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, specifically with 150 and 200mm platforms, including AMAT Centura and Precision 5000, as well as ClassOne Technology S8 electroplating tools. Prior to this role, Phyo served as a Senior Equipment Engineer at GlobalFoundries from August 2015 to February 2023, gaining expertise in 300mm manufacturing processes using AMAT Producer SE/GT tools. Phyo began a career in the industry as an Equipment Engineer at GlobalFoundries, focusing on similar processes, and earlier worked as a Maintenance Technician at HP from February 2010 to February 2015, where responsibilities included preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Phyo holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, and a Diploma in Mechatronics from Singapore Polytechnic.
