Shawn Garringer

Shawn Garringer has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shawn began their career in 2000 as the owner of Planet CR, a small family-owned business specializing in web design and cloud-based web hosting. In 2001, they worked as a Contract Field Technician at Mediacom, where they installed and configured cable television and internet services. From 2004 to 2020, Shawn held various roles at Pearson, a global education company. As a Senior Forensic Analyst, they conducted forensic investigations and managed litigation hold data. Shawn also worked in Corporate Investigations and Corporate Information Security. Prior to Pearson, Shawn gained experience in IT support at Iowa State University. In 2020, they joined Plex Systems, Inc. as the Director of Security Operations.

Shawn Garringer completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Kirkwood Community College, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Iowa, which they completed from 2016 to 2020.
