JP overcame many obstacles early in life to be where he is today. His family fled a war-torn country when he was a young child. In America, JP not only had to learn a new language and try to fit in but he also had to overcome low expectations of what he was capable of. In fact, he was put in a continuation school, told he was a “failure,” and that he would be lucky to graduate by age 21. JP not only graduated high school on-time but worked his way through UCLA, earned an MBA from UCI, became a successful Microsoft executive, and a successful serial entrepreneur.
JP had little help or guidance when he decided he wanted to be the first in his family to goto a prestigious American university - especially not at school. This coupled with JP’s love for technology was the inspiration behind starting PLEXUSS. JP started PLEXUSS to serve as a platform for everyone, everywhere as it relates to college planning and preparation. JP’s dream was further realized when he created and launched MyCounselor, a virtual college counseling service that is available to every high school student in the United States who needs it at no charge.
JP earned his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles and his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of California at Irvine.
