Scott Hayes

Scott Hayes is an accomplished Product Development Engineer with extensive experience in the automotive, office furniture, and medical product sectors. Currently at Pliant Plastics Corporation since February 2014, Scott has led cross-functional teams to achieve significant net sales of $14M and manages a robust CAD/CAM department utilizing advanced software tools. Prior experience includes a role at Shape Corp., where Scott designed and launched successful products generating $24M in sales, notably leading the innovative launch of Herman Miller Eames shell chairs. Earlier, as Lead Project Engineer at Johnson Controls, Scott oversaw a team focused on automotive interior products, achieving a 10% cost reduction in overhead consoles and managing a design budget of $2.5M. Scott holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Western Michigan University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering from Franklin University and The Ohio State University.
