Sandy Lopez

Sandy Lopez is a highly experienced professional in the field of laboratory animal science and in-vivo pharmacology. Currently serving as a Senior Research Associate II at Pliant Therapeutics since January 2023, Sandy has previously held key roles at Ambys Medicines, including In Vivo Surgery/Perfusion Supervisor, where leadership of a surgical research team and the development of technical training programs were pivotal. Sandy's extensive background also includes significant contributions at the University of California, Los Angeles, where involvement in training and surgical assistance within the Department of Laboratory Animal Medicine was critical. Early career experience includes various roles at Charles River Laboratories, the Animal Medical Center of Southern California, and the University of California, Davis.
