Jennifer Yourkavitch

Jennifer Yourkavitch, PhD, serves as a Senior Maternal Health Advisor at USAID since April 2024 and maintains a role as an Academic Editor for the Public Library of Science (PLOS) since January 2019. Previously, Jennifer was an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Maternal and Child Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from December 2017 to April 2024 and held the position of Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for the USAID Advancing Nutrition program at Results for Development from January 2020 to December 2023. Jennifer’s extensive background includes leadership roles in monitoring and evaluation, research on health and nutrition, and collaboration with international health organizations. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from The George Washington University.
