Jaya Raj Alagu Ponniah has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. In 2015, they worked as a Product Design Engineer at VMR ENGG WORK - India, where they were responsible for creating dimensional drawings, main assembly drawings, part drawings, and the complete bill of materials for rice mill and dhal mill machinery. In 2018, they worked as a Customer Service Representative at Seven Hill Pizza. In 2019, they worked as a Data Analyst at ekko.world, where they developed a custom machine learning model for the identification of different types of packaging used by consumer products and classified them based on their level of sustainability. In 2020, they worked as a Warehouse Specialist at Recochem Inc., a Business Analyst and Inventory Specialist at Qld Cash for Cars, and a Web Developer at Universal Job Platform. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Plotlogic, where their key responsibilities include building and delivering software solutions, troubleshooting technical problems, and maintaining awareness of releases and enhancement requirements.

Jaya Raj Alagu Ponniah has been involved in a variety of educational experiences. In 2011, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University. In 2018, they graduated with a Master's degree in Data Science from RMIT University. Currently, they are enrolled in the IT Professional Career Development Program at Navitas College of Public Safety, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
