Ryan Hystad, CPA, has a diverse and extensive work experience in accounting and finance. Ryan has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in financial management, reporting, and auditing.

Ryan's most recent position is as the Vice President of Finance at PLTFRM, where they manage a team and oversees accounting and finance functions for multiple operating entities. Ryan has facilitated debt placements for financing and acquisitions and played a key role in legal and financial due diligence.

Prior to PLTFRM, Ryan served as the Chief Financial Officer at Allure Labs, Inc., a contract manufacturing platform. Ryan led the organization through its first year audit, developed financial reporting packages, and implemented business application and ERP processes. Ryan also worked closely with production and supply chain teams to optimize inventory buying strategy and production planning.

Before joining Allure Labs, Ryan worked as the Corporate Controller at WX Brands, where they led accounting teams and managed all aspects of accounting functions. Ryan developed frameworks for resolving cross-functional information flow matters and advised the leadership team on operational process improvements. Ryan also handled technical accounting matters, including M&A accounting and tax provisions.

Ryan gained valuable experience at PwC, where they held roles as a Manager, Senior Associate, and Associate in the Private Company Services - Assurance division. Ryan planned, supervised, and executed financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Ryan also developed testing strategies for various areas of financial reporting in industries such as wine & spirits, consulting, construction, retail, e-commerce, and manufacturing.

Additionally, Ryan worked as a Seasonal Tax Preparer at Junkermier Clark Campanella Stevens PC, where they prepared federal and state tax returns and performed tax research for individuals and partnerships.

Ryan's early career includes being an Independent Contractor, where they provided various data organization and tech installation services on a contractual basis. Ryan also worked as an Intern at PwC, gaining practical experience in auditing, and at Anderson ZurMuehlen, where they performed tax research, prepared tax returns, and provided bookkeeping services.

Ryan Hystad, CPA holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting from The University of Montana - College of Business, which they obtained from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Japanese Language and Literature at the University of Montana from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, they participated in a foreign exchange program at 上智大学 in 2009-2010. In 2018, Ryan obtained their certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy.
