Sr. Director - Environment, Health And Safety (ehs) Europe at Plug Power

Andrew Speedie has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Andrew started their career as a Project Manager at Steelmetals Contracting Ltd, where they delivered low-pressure pipelines and dam gates for power generation and water authority projects in South Africa. Andrew later worked as a Health and Safety Manager at Barretts of Aspley, overseeing HSE management systems and safety equipment procedures.

Speedie then served as the Health and Safety Manager for Property Services at Sovereign Housing and as Managing Director and Director at Acorn Environmental Health and Safety Ltd. In these roles, they focused on health and safety management and consulting.

Andrew also worked as a Construction HSE / CDM-C Manager at the University of the West of England, overseeing construction and facilities maintenance projects with a focus on health, safety, environment, and waste requirements.

Speedie's career then took him to TD Williamson Inc., where they held various positions including EHS Manager for Europe, Eurasia, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), EHSSq Manager Eastern Hemisphere, and Snr EHS Manager Europe, Eurasia, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA). In these roles, they were responsible for promoting and implementing health, safety, security, and environmental requirements across multiple business units and regions, as well as managing complex HSSEq projects.

Andrew most recently worked as the Regional HSSE Manager EAME at Solar Turbines, a Caterpillar Company. Currently, Speedie is employed as the Sr. Director - Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Europe at Plug Power.

Andrew Speedie's education history is as follows:

Andrew began their education at Benoni Technical College, where they obtained a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from 1994 to 1999.

In 2007 to 2009, Andrew attended ATM Safety and Environment, where they pursued The NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, with a focus on Health, Safety, and Environment Management.

Continuing their academic journey in 2009, Andrew studied at ATM Safety And Environment, earning the NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management, emphasizing Environmental Studies.

From 2012 to 2014, Andrew enrolled at the University of the West of England, completing a Certificate in Education - Learning and Skills. Andrew'sfield of study revolved around Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching.

In 2012 to 2015, Andrew undertook an MSc. in Environmental Management and Assessment - Health and Safety at the University of Sunderland, specializing in Health Safety and Environment Management.

Lastly, in 2014 and 2015, they attended the International Security Management Institute, obtaining a Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP) Level 6 Diploma, focusing on Security Management.
