Sumedha Sharma

Sumedha Sharma has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sumedha is currently working as a Strategy Analyst at Plug Power starting from November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Gulf Energy Information as a Technical Editor from January 2019 onwards. Sumedha also held the same role at Hydrocarbon Processing and H2TechOnline, both starting from January 2019 and February 2020 respectively.

Sumedha'searlier work experience includes being a Research Assistant at the University of Houston from August 2011 to August 2016, where they conducted research on anti-fouling strategies for various applications and trained new students and post-docs. Before that, they served as a Scientific Officer at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati from April 2005 to September 2008, leading R&D and process engineering projects, managing lab projects, and training new scientists and engineers.

Sumedha also gained valuable experience as an Intern at the Indian Oil Corporation Limited from August 2002 to October 2002, where they worked as a trainee process engineer and was responsible for various tasks related to Catalytic Reforming and Catalytic Cracking units, emissions analysis, and quality control.

Sumedha Sharma has a strong background in chemical engineering. Sumedha earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, which they attended from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (concentration- Petroleum Refinery Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, from 2007 to 2009. Sumedha also holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Gauhati University.

In addition to their formal education, Sumedha Sharma obtained a certification in "Writing with Impact" from LinkedIn in May 2020.
