Paula R. Young

Paula R. Young is an accomplished leader in organizational growth, equity, and community development with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as the Director of Growth and Innovation at Plummer Youth Promise since January 2022, Paula advises the CEO on strategy and organizational development while leading external partnerships. As an Independent Consultant since 2005, Paula facilitates race, equity, and inclusion initiatives for diverse groups. Previous positions include Director of Strategy and Implementation at Lutheran Services in America, where Paula developed child and family initiative strategies, and Associate Director of City Partnerships at KaBOOM!, focusing on community partnership and racial equity in project design. Earlier roles at the Annie E. Casey Foundation involved enhancing technical assistance with a social justice perspective, while work with the State of Michigan emphasized co-creating systems with youth. Paula's educational background includes a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh.
