David L. Van Slyke

David L. Van Slyke is a partner in Plunkett Cooney's Columbus, Ohio office who serves as Co-leader of the firm's Real Estate Litigation & Title Insurance Practice Group. His practice focus includes general litigation, title insurance litigation and banking and finance law.

Mr. Van Slyke’s clients include insured owners and lenders under title insurance policies and title insurance companies in escrow defalcations, coverage matters and closing protection letters. He represents corporate clients in commercial litigation, including commercial loan workouts, receiverships and equipment lease workouts, FDCPA, RESPA, TILA and FCRA litigation and disputes as to mortgage repurchase agreements, as well as clients involved in contract and residential real estate disputes.

Mr. Van Slyke’s representation of clients has involved all phases of pleading, discovery and motion practice, trial advocacy in various state courts and briefing and argumentation in several appellate districts. He is licensed to practice in both state and federal courts in Ohio.
