Orly Amiran

Orly Amiran is the current VP of Quality Assurance at Pluristem Therapeutics. Orly has over 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs in the pharmaceutical industry.

Orly started their career at Taro Pharmaceuticals in 2001 as a Quality and Regulatory Affairs manager. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring that the company's products met all quality standards and regulations. Orly oversaw the development and implementation of quality control procedures, as well as the training of employees on these procedures. In 2004, Orly was promoted to Compliance and Quality Development Manager at Taro Pharmaceutical Industries. In this role, they were responsible for managing the compliance department and developing new quality assurance procedures.

In 2007, Orly left Taro to join Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. as a Quality Assurance Manager- Oral Solid Plant. In this role, they had overall responsibility for the Quality System in the plant. This included investigating deviations and customer complaints, change control process, internal audits, and managing quality inspectors in production area. Orly was also responsible for releasing batches to the markets and supporting projects dealing with quality improvements. During their time at Teva, Orly also supported regulatory agency inspections such as the FDA, Japan's health authority, EMEA (EU), and the Israeli Ministry of Health.

Orly has been with Pluristem Therapeutics since December 2011 and currently serves as the VP of Quality Assurance. In this role, they are responsible for ensuring that all Pluristem products meet the highest quality standards. Under their leadership, the Quality Assurance department has implemented several new quality control procedures that have resulted in improved product quality.

Orly Amiran has a ME in Quality Assurance from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and a BSc. in pharmacy from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Orly Amiran works with Chen Franco-Yehuda - CFO, Lior Raviv - VP Development, and Racheli Ofir - VP Research & Intellectual Property. Orly Amiran reports to Yaky Yanay, President & CEO.
