Derek Diaz Correa has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Derek is currently employed at Plus One Robotics as a Tech Lead and Senior Developer - Web. In this role, they play a key role in developing and supporting the company's flagship product, Yonder. Derek is responsible for designing and implementing new features, providing customer support, and overseeing cloud operations. Derek utilizes various technologies such as Node JS, React, Jest, GraphQL, Minikube, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, Docker, Helm, Elastic, Typescript, Linux, MongoDB, GitLab CI/CD, and Microsoft Teams Webhooks to deliver a robust and reliable product.

Before their current position, Derek worked as a Senior Web Developer at Plus One Robotics. Prior to that, they worked at USAA as a Software Engineer I, where they led, designed, and implemented a fully customized web application using HTML5, Bootstrap, REST Services, JavaScript, and Salesforce. Derek also developed multiple front-end solutions and implemented dashboards and tools utilizing the Splunk Monitoring system.

Derek's experience also includes working as a Co-Founder at Scienteer Technologies, a startup specializing in innovative software solutions for Intel ISEF competitions. Derek developed their flagship product, Scienteer, using PHP, Laravel, Bootstrap, and MySQL.

Additionally, Derek has worked at The University of Texas at San Antonio as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they gained research experience. Derek also interned at Tesoro, where they developed the company's first mobile application and created HTML5 Dashboards and tools. Derek worked as a Software Developer II at xRM Group, where they contributed to the company's website and developed tailored plugins for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM instance. Earlier in their career, Derek worked as a Web Developer at INDUNIV Research Consortium, where they designed and developed websites and implemented G-Suite throughout the organization.

Derek Diaz Correa has a strong education background in computer science. Derek obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Following that, they pursued higher education and completed their Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2012 to 2015.
