Edgar Alfaro Ríos

Edgar Alfaro Ríos has diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and quality assurance. Edgar started their career in 2009 as an IT Technical Support at UAP - Universidad Alas Peruanas, where they installed and configured computer systems and solved technical issues. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as an English Teacher Intern at ICPNA - Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano, delivering the curriculum effectively and communicating with students.

In 2012, Edgar joined ROGOLA Service as a Software Developer. Edgar gathered software requirements, developed software using C# and Microsoft SQL database, and documented client requirements in detail. Edgar then moved to Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas in 2014, where they worked as a Quality Analyst of IT Solutions, leading QA teams and creating test plans.

Starting from 2016, Edgar worked at Avantica as a QA Engineer and Team Coordinator. Edgar designed test cases, created test plans, and coordinated team activities for the local QA team. Edgar also had the opportunity to engage in periodic meetings with QA managers from the Saleforce IQ team in the US.

In 2018, Edgar joined Able as a Software Engineer. Edgar was responsible for developing web applications, building new features using frontend and backend technologies such as ReactJS and Ruby on Rails. Edgar also utilized various libraries including TailwindCSS, React-Query, and RechartsJS. Edgar worked in this role until January 2023 when they transitioned to the role of Full Stack Engineer at Torc. After Torc, they joined +SUBSCRIBE® in April 2023 as a Full Stack Engineer.

Throughout their career, Edgar demonstrated strong technical skills in software development, test case design, and test plan creation. Edgar is proficient in ReactJS, Ruby on Rails, and multiple testing tools such as TestRail and Test Link.

Edgar Alfaro Ríos has a diverse education history. Edgar obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science with a specialization in Systems Engineering from Universidad Alas Peruanas from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California, from 2004 to 2007, studying Computer and Information Management. Before their college experience, they completed their high school education at Aliso Niguel High School in Aliso Viejo, California, receiving a High School Diploma.

In addition to their academic achievements, Edgar has also acquired several certifications. In July 2014, they obtained certifications in IT Service Management from PMC Latam and ITIL Foundation 2011 from EXIN. In September 2013, they received a certification in Project Management and Quality from Instituto para la Calidad - PUCP. Furthermore, in May 2013, they obtained a certification in Data Mining - MSSQL Server 2008 from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería de Perú.
