Juan Laborde

Juan Laborde has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. Juan began their career as a Fullstack/Mobile Developer at GlobalUY from June 2016 to January 2021. During this time, they gained experience in developing and implementing software solutions.

In January 2021, Juan joined Pluto TV as a Senior Software Engineer on the Emerging EXP Team. Here, they utilized their expertise in React Native to create innovative features for platform experiments, enhancing the user experience. Juan successfully collaborated with cross-functional teams and delivered high-quality results.

In March 2022, Juan was promoted to the role of Technical Lead - Emerging EXP Team at Pluto TV. In this position, they are responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of new and innovative products and features for the company's streaming platform. Juan works closely with cross-functional teams, identifies and prioritizes new initiatives, and leads the implementation of new technologies. Juan also stays up-to-date with industry trends, driving the company's efforts to stay ahead in terms of technology and user experience.

Juan Laborde attended the Universidad Católica del Uruguay 'Dámaso Antonio Larranaga' from 2014 to 2021, where they obtained an Engineer's degree in Computer Science. In 2018 and 2019, they also pursued further studies at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, earning a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
