Katharina Feistauer

Katharina Feistauer has extensive work experience in the media and communications industry. Katharina is currently employed as the Senior Director of Content Strategy & Programming for Pluto TV since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at McKinsey & Company from February 2019 to July 2021 as a Consumer Media Tech/Telecoms Media Tech. Katharina also served as the VP of Programming for Nickelodeon UK & Ireland from July 2017 to June 2018. Katharina held the position of VP of Programming for Scripps Networks Interactive from December 2014 to May 2017. Before that, they worked at Discovery Communications where they held various roles including VP of Programming Strategy and Planning/Head of Emerging Networks, West from July 2011 to September 2014. Katharina also worked at NBC Universal as the Head of Research - Global (maternity cover) from July 2010 to May 2011. Katharina's earlier experiences include positions at Discovery Communications as the Director of Head of Channels Germany from August 2009 to July 2010, Director of Programme Controller from January 2006 to July 2009, and Research Manager for Germany and EMEA markets from March 2003 to December 2005. Katharina started their career as a Research Analyst at McKinsey & Company from August 2000 to January 2003.

Katharina Feistauer has a diverse education history. Katharina attended Dominikus-Zimmermann Gymnasium from 1984 to 1993 and obtained their Abitur degree. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Augsburg from 1993 to 2000. During their time at the university, they pursued a Master of Arts degree, specializing in Political Science, German literature, and German as a Foreign language. In addition to their studies in Augsburg, Katharina Feistauer also participated in a Mandarin class at Shanghai International Studies University from 1997 to 1998. Furthermore, they spent a year studying Political Studies and American Literature at Slippery Rock University from 1996 to 1997.
