Dr. Lenard Lichtenberger

Dr. Lenard Lichtenberger has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academia. Dr. Lenard co-founded PLx Pharma Inc. in 2000 and served as the Scientific Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer until 2015. Prior to their role at PLx Pharma Inc., they were a Professor of Integrative Biology & Pharmacology and a Faculty Member at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) from 1976 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Professor of Emeritus at UTHealth.

Dr. Lenard Lichtenberger's education history is as follows:

- Dr. Lichtenberger completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Washington University in St. Louis in 1968.

- Dr. Lenard then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Biology, General from Rutgers University in 1970.

- Dr. Lichtenberger pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, completing it in 1972.

- Following this, they were a Post-doctoral Fellow at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, specializing in Gastrointestinal hormones until 1974.

- Lastly, Dr. Lichtenberger became a Post-doctoral Fellow in the field of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School until 1976.
