Dan Janikowski

Technical Manager at Plymouth Tube Company

Dan Janikowski has an extensive work experience in the metallurgical industry. Dan started their career at Honeywell as a Senior Metallurgical Engineer in 1977 before moving on to Trent Tube in 1986, where they held various positions including General Manager, Technical Director, and Group Leader-Sales. In 2005, they became a Technical Member at HEI Heat Exchanger Institute, where they chaired the tube associate section and provided technical assistance to other groups.

In 2006, Dan joined ISO as a US delegate for TC 17/SC 19. Dan also became a member of the Ferrous Materials Subgroup and the Heat Exchanger Committee at ASME in the same year. Later, in 2010, they joined Plymouth Tube Company as a Technical Manager, responsible for assisting customers with corrosion issues, alloy selection, and new product development.

Dan's involvement in standardization activities includes being the Chairman of ASTM A01.10 Stainless and Alloy Steel Tubular Products, Vice Chairman of ASTM A01.17 Flat-Rolled and Wrought Stainless Steel, and Vice Chairman of ASTM B02.07 Refined Nickel and Cobalt and Their Alloys at ASTM International. Dan also served as a member of the ASTM Board of Directors from 2013 to 2016.

With their extensive knowledge and experience, Dan Janikowski has made significant contributions to the metallurgical industry.

Dan Janikowski received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, which they attended from 1970 to 1974. Dan then pursued further education at the same institution, obtaining a Masters of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from 1974 to 1976.
