Walter Kraus

Walter Kraus, P. Eng., CSR-P has extensive experience in environmental, health & safety, energy, and sustainability management. Walter has worked as the Director of Environment Health Safety at PLZ Corp, where they led compliance and sustainability efforts at multiple manufacturing sites. Walter also served as the Principal at Efficient2Sustainable (E2S), Inc., specializing in EHS management consulting. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Environment & Corporate Sustainability at Weston Foods and the Senior Director of Environmental Affairs at Weston Foods (Canada) Inc. Walter has also worked as an Advisor at Selfridges Group and a Senior Director of Environmental Affairs at Loblaw Companies Limited. Walter began their career as an Engineering Assistant at Nabisco. Throughout their career, they have been instrumental in driving improvements in training, culture, employee safety engagement, claim costs, incident reduction and response, as well as energy management and conservation efforts. Walter is also a recognized speaker and trainer in the field of environmental sustainability.

Walter Kraus, P. Eng., CSR-P has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, which they completed from 1981 to 1986. In 2011, they also obtained a certificate in Business & Sustainability Programme from the University of Cambridge.
