Giorgi Khishtovani

Giorgi Khishtovani has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Giorgi started their career as a Visiting Professor at Grigol Robakidze University in 2015, where they taught finance. In the same year, they also held the position of Associate Professor at Caucasus International University until 2016. Giorgi then joined Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia as the Director of Grants and Programs Department from 2015 to 2017. In 2016, Giorgi joined Ilia State University as an Associate Professor and later became a Visiting Lecturer until 2016. In 2017, they took on the role of Research Director at both PMCG - Policy and Management Consulting Group and PMC Research Center, where they worked until the present. In 2018, they served as a Consultant for Human Capital Development at The World Bank and as a Consultant for Investment Policy and Competitiveness at IFC - International Finance Corporation from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, they worked as a Consultant for Migration and Development at Asian Development Bank. Most recently, in 2021, they served as a Consultant for SME Development in the Tourism Sector at World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Giorgi Khishtovani began their education in 2000 at Georgian Technical University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Law in 2005. Giorgi then pursued further studies at Universität Trier from 2005 to 2008, obtaining a Master's degree in Economic and Social Studies with a focus on Finance and Investments. In 2008 and 2009, Khishtovani attended Universität Trier once again to earn a Master of Laws degree in Entrepreneurial Law. Lastly, from 2011 to 2014, they attended the University of Bremen, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Economics.
