Tarik Almalak has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Tarik is currently working at Emploi et Développement social Canada (EDSC) / Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) in the Payment Services role. Prior to this, in 2022, they served as the Vice President - Special Projects at PMI OVOC.

From 2012 to 2022, Tarik worked at Integrated Strategic Solutions LLC, where they held various positions. Tarik started as a Project Management Consultant, specializing in providing Project Management Services for the Hospitality Industry. Tarik later became a Strategic Consultant for I. C. Solutions and then a Program and Procurement Manager, where they provided professional services to Marriott and Hilton on different projects.

Before that, from 2010 to 2012, Tarik worked at Ittihad International Investment LLC as a Senior Projects Development Manager. Tarik provided various upstream and downstream field development services for Adnoc.

From 2007 to 2010, Tarik worked again at Integrated Strategic Solutions LLC as a Project and Procurement Manager, focusing on providing Project and Procurement Management Services for the Hospitality Industry and Value Engineering Services for Major Development Projects.

In 2002, Tarik joined the International Development Company for Oil Equipment as a Project Development Manager, where they provided specialized construction services and engineered products for Adnoc's onshore and offshore greenfield development. Prior to this role, they served as a Sales Operations Manager at the same company.

From 1997 to 2002, Tarik worked at Al Makamin Commercial Projects LLC as a Technical Sales Manager, providing engineered products and services for the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries.

Before that, from 1995 to 1997, Tarik worked at EMDAD LLC as a Technical Sales Engineer, specializing in Mechanical and Process equipment for the oil and gas industry.

Tarik's early career included a role as a Project Engineer/Project Planner at Contracting & Trading Company - CAT, where they upgraded the Jebel Dhana industrial piping area and installed a third gravity pipeline.

Tarik Almalak obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. In terms of certifications, they achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2020. Tarik also obtained the Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification from the same institution in June 2022. Additionally, Tarik has acquired several other certifications, including Chapter Leader 2022 from the Project Management Institute, and certifications in Construction Management: Planning and Scheduling and Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn, both obtained in October 2018.
