Lew Witz

Director Audit Services at PNM Resources

Lew Witz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Lew started their career as a Senior Accountant at Neff + Ricci LLP (now Moss-Adams) in 2001 and worked there until 2004. Lew then joined First Community Bank as the VP/Audit Manager from 2004 to 2011. In 2012, they joined the City of Albuquerque as a Senior Information Systems Auditor and stayed there until 2016. Since then, they have been working at PNM Resources, first as a Senior IT Auditor from 2016 to 2022, and currently as the Director of Audit Services from August 2021.

Lew Witz obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Santa Fe University of Art and Design, graduating between the years 1983 and 1986. Following this, Lew pursued further education and completed an MBA in Management from UNM Anderson School of Management, studying between the years 1997 and 1999.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Lew Witz holds certifications from the ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association). Lew obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification in September 2003, and later acquired the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) certification in September 2011.
