Daniel Song

Daniel Song is the current head of data at Pod Foods. Prior to this, they were the director and head of data at Kaspien from November 2019 to August 2021. Before Kaspien, they were the lead data scientist at FYE - For Your Entertainment from July 2017 to November 2019.

Song has extensive experience in business intelligence, data engineering, and data science. At Kaspien, they were responsible for guiding the data strategy for three verticals: SaaS, DaaS, and Kaspien Marketplace Sales. Daniel has experience working with teams across e-commerce, marketing, and purchasing to provide analytics, dashboards, and forecasting.

Song is a highly skilled data scientist with a passion for helping businesses grow. Daniel is an expert in using the right tools for the job, whether it is linear models, traditional machine learning, or neural networks. Under their leadership, Pod Foods is sure to continue to thrive.

Daniel Song's educational career began with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Daniel then went on to earn a B.S. in Environmental Sciences from the same school. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology - Ecology and Evolution from the University of Pennsylvania.
