Melanie Lane

Melanie Lane is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Pod Point since May 2024 and serves as a member and Chair of the Board of Trustees for the International Justice Mission since April 2020. Previously, Melanie held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Shell Recharge from March 2020 to June 2023, leading initiatives in electric mobility. During a significant tenure at Shell from January 2014 to March 2020, Melanie served as General Manager for Aviation, focusing on strategy and business development, while also leading a successful turnaround for the Aviation business in Europe and managing the UK Retail operations. Melanie's career at Shell began in 2002 and spanned various managerial roles in marketing, sales, engineering, and maintenance across multiple regions. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Development and Planning and a first-class BSc in Social Policy and Politics from the University of Bristol, along with executive education from IMD in 2016 and 2019.
