Jennifer Headman

Jennifer Headman is a fermentation microbiologist with extensive experience in developing renewable chemicals and biofuels. Currently serving as Fermentation Manager at POET since September 2018, Jennifer has held significant roles in organizations such as Novozymes as a Senior Scientist and Verdezyne, Inc. as Scientist II, focusing on yeast fermentation technology and bio-based chemicals. Jennifer's earlier career includes contributions as a Senior Genetics Scientist at EdeniQ and a Research Assistant at the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center. Jennifer holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is pursuing an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology. Additionally, educational experiences include research at the Technical University of Denmark as a Fulbright Fellow and teaching assistance at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
