Peter Castelli

Peter Castelli is a seasoned legal and business executive with extensive experience in corporate law and strategic management. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at POET since February 2020, Peter previously held the position of Senior Counsel at Winston & Strawn LLP. Prior to that, significant roles included Senior Vice President and Global Head of Legal at Tate & Lyle, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing global legal functions, corporate risk management, and operational leadership, as well as serving as Vice President of Food Ingredients with full P&L accountability. Peter's earlier career included directing global strategy and business development at Tate & Lyle and practicing as an attorney at Ziemer Stayman Weitzel. Peter holds a BBA from the University of Notre Dame, a JD from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, and has completed executive leadership development programs at MIT and IMD.
