Mena Ramos, MD, is a co-founder and co-chief executive officer at the Global Ultrasound Institute since January 2018. Additionally, Mena serves as the chair of the POCUS Certification Academy Engagement Committee, focusing on strategic alliances for promoting point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) education and training worldwide. Mena's career includes experience as clinical faculty in the Family Medicine Residency and an ER doctor at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center & Health Centers from June 2012 to March 2023. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Geochemistry from Brown University, a Doctor of Medicine from the Latin American School of Medicine, and completion of the Contra Costa UCSF Global Health Fellowship.
