Tae Kim, DO, FAAEM has extensive work experience in various medical roles. Currently, they serve as an Emergency/EMS Physician at Mercy Medical Center, where they are responsible for evaluating, treating, and stabilizing critically-ill patients. Tae also serves as the Director of Medical Education for the Emergency Department, overseeing the implementation of educational programs. Additionally, they serve as the Assistant EMS Medical Director, providing leadership and medical oversight for pre and out-of-hospital emergency care. Tae Kim, DO, FAAEM has a diverse education history. In 2003, they received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Prior to that, in 2000, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy at UMass Boston. Tae also pursued Philosophy at Brandeis University from 1987 to 1989. Additionally, in 1989, they obtained a Paramedic Certificate from Cape Cod Community College.

Furthermore, Tae Kim has completed various certificate programs. In 2009, they obtained a Certificate of completion in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. In 2021, they completed the AMIA 10x10 course at Oregon Health & Science University, earning a Certificate of completion.

Tae Kim has also pursued further certifications and achievements in their field. Tae became Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 2010 and obtained the Fellow status at the American Academy of Emergency Medicine in 2018. Tae has also obtained certifications such as Paramedic from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.

Additionally, Tae Kim has acquired further certifications recently. In 2023, they completed the Medical Affairs Associates Training Level 1 program from Mantra Systems and obtained a certificate. Tae also obtained a Good Clinical Practice Certificate from the NIDA Clinical Trials Network in the same year.
