Marek Żakowicz

Marek Żakowicz is an experienced software engineer and leader with a strong background in software development, architecture, and project management. Currently serving as the Lead of Software Engineering for the Data Platform at Point72 since April 2022, Marek has expanded the core development team and fostered best practices in software development. Previously, Marek held the position of Tech Lead at Irdeto, overseeing the transfer and industrialization of the Online Piracy Detection platform in Poland. Between 2019 and 2020, Marek worked at Lingaro, contributing as both an IT Project Manager and Solution Architect in the IoT team. With extensive experience spanning companies like Alcatel-Lucent and ATM SA., Marek has played key roles in various significant projects, demonstrating expertise in back-end development, architecture, and team facilitation. Marek holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Warsaw, along with an Electronics Technician diploma from Technical College.
