Dave Matter

Dave Matter is an Operating Partner on Point72 Ventures’ FinTech team, supporting investment activities and portfolio companies in financial services technology. He is based in San Francisco.

Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Dave was the Chief Product Officer at Marqeta, a global payment card issuing platform, where he helped lead the product and business as it grew into a multi-billion dollar company serving some of the best brands in the world. Previously, Dave held product and technology leadership roles in investments and mortgages with Citadel Investment Group and Quicken Loans as well as digital banking pioneer ING Direct.

Dave is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and cooking. He studied Business Computer Information Systems at St. Cloud State University.
