Larry Thompson

Larry Thompson has over 30 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical industries. Larry is currently the Senior Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Control at POINT Biopharma. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Sterility Assurance at Catalent Pharma Solutions and Teleflex Incorporated. Larry also held the position of Director of Sterilization Technology at Zimmer and Director of Manufacturing at Sigma Tau Pharmasource. Larry gained experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, process validation, and regulatory compliance during their roles at Roche Diagnostics, where they served as a Senior Manufacturing Manager, Manager of Technical Affairs, and Principal Scientist. Larry also has experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Pharmaceutical Research and Development at Procter and Gamble Pharmaceuticals and the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston. Larry began their career as a Microbiologist in Quality Control at Nice-Pak Products and also worked as a Research Associate at Indiana University Medical Center.

Larry Thompson earned a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Case Western Reserve University, where they attended from 1992 to 1997. Prior to this, they obtained a B.S. in Biology from Marian University Indianapolis between 1985 and 1989.
