Katya Niakhai

Katya Niakhai is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in database development and management. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at PointClickCare since July 2014, Katya has held various roles including Senior Developer and Database Analyst. Prior experience includes working as a SQL Developer at The Edge Benefits, where Katya developed and optimized reports and ensured data integrity. Katya has also contributed to research at McMaster University, focused on battery system designs, and held positions at EPAM Systems and Thomson Reuters as a Database Developer, where responsibilities included database design, performance tuning, and the implementation of complex queries. Katya’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from McMaster University and dual Master’s degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Belarusian State University.
