Lauren Knieser has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lauren is currently working at PointClickCare as a Senior Director, where they oversee customer success. Prior to that, they held positions as a Senior Director and Director at the same company. In 2018, they worked as a Regional Systems Program Manager at the Hospital Preparedness Program HHS/ASPR. From 2015 to 2018, they were employed as a Senior Policy Analyst at the DHHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response. Lauren also has experience in public health, having worked as a Center for a Livable Future-Lerner Fellow at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health from 2013 to 2016. Lauren was a Senior Research Associate at the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, they served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness from 2011 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Research Associate at the American Medical Association and as a Project Coordinator at the Columbia University National Center for Disaster Preparedness. Lauren started their career as a Community Health Education Specialist at AmeriCorps.
Lauren Knieser has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Spanish from Lawrence University, which was obtained from 2002 to 2006. Lauren went on to complete a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, attending from 2008 to 2010. Later, in 2010 and 2011, they pursued further education at the University of Illinois Chicago, focusing on Public Health Leadership without obtaining a specific degree. Finally, from 2012 to 2020, they attended Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where they earned a DrPH degree in Environmental Health.
