Shankar Gopidas

Shankar Gopidas has a wealth of work experience, beginning with Technical Support roles at Oracle Corporation (1994) and Borland (1993). In 1996, they moved to Cisco Systems as Head of Services and Support, Services & Technology Group, Cisco Services. In 2013, they founded Control Freaks, an interest group in Silicon Valley, while also taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer at inXed, Inc. In 2016, they joined Viptela as Senior Director, Customer Success And Cloud Operations, and in 2018 they moved to Nokia as Senior Director SDN/SDWAN & Network Automation Services- Americas.

Shankar Gopidas received their Bachelor of Science in Applied Science from Coimbatore Institute of Technology between 1982 and 1985. Shankar then went on to earn their Bachelor of Science in Physics from Indiana State University between 1988 and 1989. Shankar followed this up with a Master of Science in Media Technology from Indiana State University between 1989 and 1991. Finally, they earned their Master of Science in Computer Science from North Dakota State University between 1991 and 1993.
