Scott Wahl

Scott Wahl has a diverse work experience in various leadership positions within the software industry. Scott is currently working as the Vice President of Product Operations at PointClickCare since December 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Global Software at Dematic from June 2017 to December 2020, where they were responsible for software development and served as the site leader for the Waterloo R&D office. Before that, Scott worked at BlackBerry for six years, from April 2008 to June 2014, as the Vice President of Software Services, leading a department responsible for engineering operations and software development. Scott also held the position of Director of Software Localization & Documentation at Research In Motion from 2001 to 2008, where they led a department that produced documentation and oversaw translation and localization for all BlackBerry software. Scott started their career at Bridgewater Systems in 1998 as the Manager of Customer Documentation, where they formed and managed a team that produced technical documentation and training materials. Scott also worked at Newbridge Networks from 1995 to 1998 as a Team Lead and Technical Writer, managing documentation deliverables and implementing markup-based authoring systems.

Scott Wahl has a diverse education history with a focus on business and human resources development. Scott obtained an Intermediate Co-Active Coaching Training degree in Human Resources Development from the Co-Active Training Institute from 2022 to 2024. Scott also completed the Global Executive Program in Business at INSEAD in 2017-2018. Scott holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Wilfrid Laurier University (2005-2008) and a Master of Science (MS) in Technical and Scientific Communication from Utah State University (1999-2002). Scott obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English from the University of Waterloo in 1991-1995. Additionally, they have various certifications in areas such as budgeting, event planning, writing policies and procedures, strategic planning, and volunteer engagement. Scott has also completed several online courses on data science and strategy formulation through Coursera.
