Matthew Miller

Matthew Miller has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Matthew is currently employed as a Sound Designer at Pok Pok since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Sound Designer at Built By Snowman, Inc. starting from January 2020.

Matthew also has experience in the field of education. Matthew worked as a part-time Professor of Game Audio Design at George Brown College from September 2017. Additionally, they were a student at the School of Video Game Audio in 2015.

In terms of their own audio ventures, Matthew has a company called Matt Miller Audio, where they worked as a Composer, Sound Designer, and Sound Engineer since 1997. Matthew is an active member of the Toronto's improvising music scene and has collaborated with various ensembles.

In addition, Matthew has worked as a recording engineer under their own mobile recording service based in Toronto since January 2012.

Matthew also worked as a Soundware Developer at Millertone since 2003, where they developed sample-based virtual instruments and synthesizers. Matthew was responsible for product development, studio maintenance, marketing, and administration.

Apart from these roles, Matthew has also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo, specializing in Interactive Audio at the Games Institute, from July 2016 to December 2016. Matthew served as a Technical Coordinator and provided administration support at New Adventures In Sound Art (NAISA) from July 2014 to June 2016.

Earlier in their career, Matthew worked as a Technical Writer and Advertising personnel at B&H Photo Video from October 1998 to December 2008. Matthew also worked as an Installer and Programmer at Media Environments from 2005 to 2007.

Matthew Miller attended the School of Video Game Audio in the year 2015. During their time there, they focused on the field of study in game audio implementation, which involved using Wwise, Pure Data coding, music, and sound design. However, they did not attain a degree from this institution.
