Nermina Avdic has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as Director of Software Quality at The Pokémon Company International. Prior to this, they worked at the same company as a Web Services Test Manager from 2017 to 2020. Before joining The Pokémon Company International, Nermina was a Senior Technical Product Manager at the City of Bellevue, Washington, where they collaborated with external stakeholders and led teams of developers, UX professionals, and QA analysts. Nermina also served as a Senior Product Manager at Qliance. Earlier in their career, Nermina worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Hitachi Data Systems and as a Lead QA Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at SumTotal Systems. Nermina has experience in developing and testing high-quality products using various methodologies and frameworks. Before their corporate roles, Nermina worked as a Local Expert in the Energy Sector for the Technical Assistance Unit of the European Commission, where they designed energy schemas, identified energy projects, and negotiated with local beneficiaries. Nermina holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP®), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).

Nermina Avdic, PMP®, CSM, CSPO (She/Her) completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Sarajevo from 1990 to 1992. Nermina pursued further education, earning another Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia from 1994 to 1998.

In addition to their academic achievements, Nermina received various certifications to enhance their professional skills. Nermina obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2018. Furthermore, they became a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in January 2020.
