Sezim Kaldar

Sezim Kaldar has work experience as a DevOps Engineer at The Pokémon Company International since February 2021. In this role, they designed and built a highly available, durable, and secure EKS cluster in AWS using Terraform modules. Sezim also set up comprehensive monitoring for Kubernetes clusters, integrating Prometheus and Grafana to collect and store metrics, resulting in enhanced visibility and reduced downtime response time. Additionally, Sezim developed reusable Terraform modules to create and manage EKS clusters, saving valuable time and resources.

Prior to that, Sezim worked as a Cloud Engineer at CDK Global from July 2019 to February 2021. In this position, they managed AWS networking configurations such as VPC, routing tables, security groups, and firewalls. Sezim implemented fine-grained permissions for IAM users, policies, and roles, following the best practices of authorization. Sezim also implemented S3 lifecycle and retention policies, leading to a reduction in monthly storage costs.

Sezim's earlier work experience includes a role as a Cloud Support Engineer at Gigabyte Ltd from December 2018 to February 2019. In this position, they worked in a ticketing system to handle technical requests and escalated issues. Sezim also utilized an agile development methodology to facilitate product development.

Sezim Kaldar earned a Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Hotel Management from Cyprus International University, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. In addition, Sezim obtained the CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification from The Linux Foundation in January 2023.
