Monish Sahni

Monish Sahni is currently the Director at Polarcus. Prior to that, they worked as an Investment Professional at CQS LLP from April 2008 to December 2016. There, they were in charge of fundamental research on performing and stressed credits across the ratings spectrum for a variety of hedge fund credit strategies. Before CQS, Sahni worked as a Portfolio Manager at Citigroup from April 2003 to April 2008, where they were a senior risk manager for $25bn of risk assets across multiple industries and geographies.

Sahni began their career at Citi in 1988 as a Relationship Manager in the Americas. Monish then became the Regional Industry Head for Global Shipping & Logistics in Southeast Asia in 1995. In 2000, they moved back to the Americas as the Senior Banker for the Global Shipping & Logistics industry before becoming a Portfolio Manager in 2003.

Sahni has extensive experience in the financial industry, with a focus on the shipping and logistics sectors. Monish has led on restructurings and workouts of bonds and loans and has experience on creditor committees.

Monish Sahni has a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
