Polaris
As the Chief of Staff at Polaris, an organization that combats human trafficking and modern slavery, I leverage my skills in social networking, communication, and writing to support the CEO and the executive team in advancing our mission and vision. I have extensive experience in Board management and relations, as well as coordinating and executing senior leadership meetings. I have over 8 years of work experience in various roles that required me to coordinate, manage, and execute projects and initiatives across different sectors and domains. I am also a certified nutritionist from Mac-Nutrition Uni, and I have a passion for health and wellness, which I apply to my personal and professional life. I have a background in kinesiology and exercise science, and I have managed my own consulting business as a personal trainer, fitness coach, and fitness instructor in the past. I am driven by my values of justice, compassion, and service, and I seek to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team. I am always eager to learn new things, collaborate with others, and contribute to positive social change.

Named after the North Star, an historical symbol of freedom, Polaris is leading a survivor-centered, justice- and equity-driven movement to end human trafficking. Since 2007, Polaris has operated the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline, connecting victims and survivors to support and services, and helping communities hold traffickers accountable. Through that work, Polaris has built the largest known dataset on human trafficking in North America. The data and expertise gained from two decades of working on trafficking situations in real time informs strategies that hold traffickers accountable, support survivors on their healing journeys and address the vulnerabilities that enable the business of stealing freedom for profit.
