Koen Sonck

Koen Sonck has extensive experience in quality management and manufacturing, currently serving as Head of Global Manufacturing & Program Quality at Polestar since January 2018. In this role, Koen represents Polestar Quality towards manufacturing suppliers and partners, while overseeing quality processes across various initiatives, including the launch of the Precept vehicle. Prior to joining Polestar, Koen worked at Volvo Cars for over 24 years, holding various leadership positions such as Global Quality Implementation Director Manufacturing & Logistics and Quality Director for the Chengdu plant in China. Koen has a strong foundation in quality audits, variability reduction, and production supervision, supported by an educational background as an Industrial Engineer in Electro-mechanics from BME Gent.
