Krister Olofsson

Krister Olofsson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in automotive design, particularly in exterior systems. Currently serving as a Senior Studio Engineer at Polestar since March 2022, Krister previously held similar senior roles at Volvo Car Group from September 2016 to March 2022. Prior to these positions, Krister worked as a Custom Design Engineer at Caterpillar Inc. and held leadership roles at Volvo Car Group, managing complex systems such as tailgates. With a career starting in 1998 at Volvo Cars, Krister has accumulated a wealth of expertise across various design and engineering capacities, including powertrain, exhaust, and glazing systems. Krister holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Borås and has military leadership training as a platoon leader.
