Anton Karounis

Anton Karounis is the Director of Engineering at Policygenius. Anton has over fifteen thousand clients and three hundred million dollars in ad spend. Anton is responsible for the Ads Platform team. Anton has also headed up the Engineering Recruiting Special Interest Group (SIG) and overseen all initiatives involved in increasing candidate pool, spreading engineering team brand-awareness, and overall interview process. In addition, they have designed a new Ads Platform and plans to migrate from monolith architecture. Anton has leveraged microservices to handle diverse platforms like AdWords, Bing Ads, and Facebook, and to better manage external APIs. Anton has also taken on the role as Director of Local Business Owner Experience teams, overseeing client-facing LeadStream web dashboards and mobile applications.

Anton Karounis received their BA in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Anton Karounis reports to Dave Kaplan, SVP of Engineering. They work with Ben Gummoe - Senior Software Engineer, Miles Fricker - Senior Site Reliability Engineer, and Jenny Lee - Software Engineer.
