Genesis Ramos

Genesis Ramos, MPA, currently serves as Special Advisor to the Vice President of Programs at PolicyLink and holds the position of Legislator for District 6, representing the city and town of Newburgh, in Orange County Government since January 2022. An academic contributor, Genesis has taught Healthcare & Public Policy as an Adjunct Professor at Mount Saint Mary College from November 2021 to December 2023. Previous roles include Executive Director of the Desmond Center for Community Engagement & Wellness at Sun River Health, where responsibilities involved oversight of organizational culture programs, and various positions focused on community services and youth development in Newburgh from 2013 to 2020. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from Marist College and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a Human Services Concentration from SUNY New Paltz, complemented by an Associate of Science in Human Services from SUNY Orange.
