Antoine Dalod

R&D Engineer at poLight

Antoine Dalod has a diverse work experience spanning from 2011 to present. Antoine started their career as a Research Intern at Université Blaise Pascal, focusing on co-precipitation of saturated fatty acid interleaved layered double hydroxides (LDH) and synthesis of polypropylene-LDH nanocomposites.

In 2012, they worked as a Summer Intern at Essilor before joining the University of Arkansas in 2013 as a Research Intern. There, they worked on the characterization of perovskite superlattices, mechanical exfoliation of layered materials, and installation of an ultra high vacuum chamber for XPS and AES analysis.

From 2014 to 2017, Antoine served as a PhD Candidate at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Their thesis focused on the in situ synthesis of titania and titanium-based organic-inorganic nanomaterials, including hydrothermal synthesis of surface-functionalized titanium dioxide nanoparticles and sol-gel synthesis of titania-polydimethylsiloxane hybrid nanocomposites.

Currently, Antoine is working as an R&D Engineer at poLight since 2018.

Antoine Dalod's education history includes a variety of degrees and fields of study. Antoine started their educational journey at UNIVERSITE D'AUVERGNE from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie (DUT) in Chemistry and Materials Science.

Following this, Dalod attended ESIREM - Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Numérique et Matériaux from 2011 to 2014, earning a Diplôme d'Ingénieur (MEng) in Materials Science. During this time, they also pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Nanotechnology and Nanobioscience at Université de Bourgogne from 2013 to 2014.

Dalod furthered their education by pursuing a Philosophiae Doctor (PhD) degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2014 to 2017.
